Become familiar with SecurityPro
After logging into SecurityPro, your Dashboard provides information about the devices that were loaded for you.
Once you have added Groups and assigned Rules, if your device breaks these rules, alerts will be triggered and will display in SecurityPro. If you added the option, you will also receive e-mail notifications about these alerts.
Note: As a first-time user, no Alerts are displayed on your Dashboard because no Rules have been created.

Using the Navigation Selections
- Alerts – View and Acknowledge Alerts: Displays a list of all alerts ordered by severity level with Critical alerts displaying first. As a first-time user, no Alerts are shown because no rules have been defined to trigger Alerts. You can click the name to open the Alert and acknowledge it or you and click “Acknowledge All”.
- Devices – View Devices and add a Device to a Group: Displays a list of all your devices. (Your devices are initially loaded for you.) You can search for a specific device, select the SIM number to view details about a specific device, or select a checkbox and select “Apply to Group” to quickly apply a device to a Group.
- Groups – View Groups or Create a Group: Displays a list of all Groups. You can quickly search for a specific Group or you can create a new group by selecting the “Create Group” button.
- Rules – View and Create Rules and their Conditions: Displays a list of all rules ordered by severity level with Critical rules displayed first. When creating a Rule, you can assign one condition, a combination of conditions, or all of the conditions. Make certain you follow the restrictions. If a Rule is violated (the conditions are all broken at the same time), an Alert is triggered and displayed on the Alerts page and, if you selected e-mail as an Action in the Rule, an e-mail notification is sent.
Important! SecurityPro alerts you that a violation has occurred. SecurityPro does not take action against the device. It is up to you to acknowledge and perform the action you deem necessary.
Several Conditions can be applied but make certain that you follow the Condition restrictions. You select the condition type, input the values, and follow the prompts to save the Condition. Repeat the steps until all the conditions you need for the Rule are added. Use the links in Creating a Rule and why a Rule is needed to learn more about each Condition.
Located below the Add Conditions section is the Add Actions section. You can add one address or multiple addresses for receiving notifications about Alerts. Once Conditions are selected and e-mail addresses are added, you select Create Rule to save the Rule and its Conditions.
- Reports – Three types of reports are available: Traffic, Alerts, and Auditing. Select Reports on the navigator and then select the tab of the report you want to view.
- Traffic report – Displays the Usage By Group and Usage By Protocol graphs and a historical view of the IP address receiving from (Top Source Host) and the IP address coming to (Top Destination Hosts).
- Alerts report – provides a view of Top Offenders, Top Group Offenders, and Top SIM Offenders.
- Auditing report – Provides a historical record of Group and Rule changes, and Rule/Group and SIM/Group assignments showing the date and time of the change, type of change, and user that made the change.
